Liverpool FC LOSE 1-1 at home to the chelski rent blues not to bury the london prozzies down to 10 men at half time will feel like a failure but first a quick "congrats" to Rafa - managed neighbours with MERSEYSIDE top of the table and that is good for LIVERPOOL and reminds me of my youth when the REdS and Blues were worthy rivals and the mancs were ZERO!

Juergen got this wrong... VVD & Matip have been sound, and Joel sometimes offers so me extra to the midfield with his forays & his headers from corners..
especially up against the likes of chelski who wish to counter and play through the lines or behind our back line , Joe has the pace (and now is mature enough to also read the games better) I chose Thiago to help control the ball & the game, as we saw too much "ping - pong" in the first half..
. and a top heavy midfield perhaps failed to defended the goal for 0-1!? my PLAN was to thrown on Harve (*and DioGO) after 60 mins abd although an injury caused an earlier change, and inspite of Harve's obvious quality , a late charge against a (perhaps) tiring away defence would have meant he Mo & MANe running at them.. and Trent.. plus as much as its clear that Robbo is the best left wing half there is currently... Kostas DESERVED a start ...

The European draw has been made and its versus Milan, Atleti & Porto it looks a tough draw even if some of the Lfc Fenway cloned fan nies think Porto are automatic walk overs.. having got past them 3 times to my recall, however..."revenge" is a deep motive (even if its unsaid) *Milan , we have the 2007 final to recall, AC ruined my birthday party week in Athens,

AS this is written , Ox has a birthday, and for me, OX has to step up and "come of age" as IF the Lfc boardroom and Klopp committ to retaining Hendo, it may be harder to break into the midfield selection of Fab, Hendo & Tiago (he is too mature also to be held back for "occasional outings" considering his cost to the club.. or , as was experimented in pre season, Ox (& Tako) become "false 9" candidates.. in cases when or IF Bobby is rested.. as he and the "Fab 3" looked to be slipping into TOP gear recently... but OX CAN SCORE FROM DISTANCE and that makes him a consideration..
Milly has been excellent as the holding player but Fab will probably be Juergens top starter in that position.. Milly benched for " late battles" as sub, or replacements for injured players, although , apart from once caught dwelling on the ball, looks to be an adequate understudy for Robbo.. I still am not convinced by Naby... he ALSO needs to be more dynamic...and....for me Diogo remains an impact player from the bench when opponents are tiring, or starts when one of the FAb 3 are off form..or need resting/protecting Trent looks to be back on top of his game...but I would not have picked VVD & Matip at norwich and I still like the idea of a new CENTRE back "twin set" of Joe (Gomez) & KonG (Kounate)

Kells had more prep time and looks sound enough to start saturday. having said that, either GK start as at this time... * Centre backs ; everyone wants to see VVD play, but there may be a massivea under-estimation of the process of full return! almost a year out, the physical, mental & emotional affect must not be rushed,, citeh underestimated norwich a couple of seasons ago (and lost there!) * Kounate (we call him KonG, because he looks like a KING..type of player, he looks imposing...had a GOOD pre season and Joe looked sharp in the last friendly , together they have pace and strength... why risk VVD? ... Matip has also done well but Joe is above him in our selection choice.. * Sadly for him and OUR TEAM, Robbo is out, he is one of the worlds most effective wing halves, and shall be missed, Kostas looked capable against Osasuna and linked well with Tako & if that can hook up well with MANe too, its posiitve, if he can sharpen his defensive game too, we have a more than adequent back up... Trent on right.. enough said? ;) * Milly was man of the match in almost every pre season game, and just shades selection in front of Fab, for similar reasons (see above) , also had a short pre -season... OX has put in a lot of effort and I feel this midfield is better with a player who can shoot from distance.. and he can! Tako looked sharp in both games he playedwhen , scoring twice ! * Bobby is at his best when there is atmosphere...and he was on fire v Osasuna, the chance also of re-gniting the "Fab 3" is too good to avoid, and Mo lookes keen and hungry for goals.. whilst MANe looks like the player back at his peak (as in 2019) .. Diogo on the bench if one of the 3 gets tired... maybe Bobby also with a short pre-season..
