However IF Milly needs rest I would be tempted to start Hendo OR maybe FAB (because of the brazilian opponent who we all know about) - and maybe Firm's EYE injury means he is not 100% (having not trained monday) I might play Shaq and give M O a roving role ..more central as he did v citeh last season,  OR slot in Studge .. who may ber able to play a similar role as Bobby..

 LIVERPOOL beat arguably the best team in europe (citeh) last year, blew them away at Anfield, can make a marker for this trophy again by beating the parisians side..

...  has all the hallmarks of a cracker with two of the most devastating attacking forces in Europe colliding at Anfield ... it may be more of a case of keeping Edinson Cavani, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe out at the other end that’ll be the key to Liverpool’s success – this is by far the biggest test of their new defensive capabilities.

psg have swept teams aside as usual this season, scoring at least three in all six wins, with all their main men getting involved. Neymar was rested from their latest win while Mbappe was suspended so both will be fresh to face a famous European night at Anfield.

another 3 points & again without being at their best the TEAM won through..  

another win, keeps Liverpool on top..

... Gini ...is my MotM rarely gave the ball away, and  maybe should have had another goal..

Not sure if Mane touched the first "goal" in first move.... ..
...  but it set the "atmosphere" for a virtual onslaught on the spurs goal..

for me..

- and as I have said many, too many times - i dont like the "in game" management .. predictable..

and IMO wrong..

all over spurs at wembley , could have been 0-4 or 5 early in 2nd half,, and Hendo comes on for Firm, .. i dont think JK expected Roberto to come off, BUT...
at that time spurs were ragged, you dont need to "secure : the result, ..

Shaq or Studge for Firm at that time would have added fresh legs ...

and FFS what did Matip bring at the end?, ok if he had cleared the spurs corner , but he didn't and it made an unnecessary :drama"

Mo is still not there , both he and Mane ...should have done more with half-chances .. passing rate was less than usual,  spurs hardly had a shot on target and my joint MotM  was Milly who closed down,...everyone! ;)


NK put in a shift but also hasn't quite acclimatized to EPL footy..yet..!

yeah, i know this seems like a moan UNBELIEVABLE when Lfc top the table, but today Lfc could have a) built up the goal difference and b) buried Tottenham hopes in one game..



VVD was player of the month , but apart from one error Joe was the CB that most impressed -  both wing back Trent and Robbo seemed to be restricted by spurs but Robbo still contributed to the 2nd goal..

Mane getting down the left and his pass into the 6 yard box was fumbled by the spurs defenders and Firm. had a chance that I could have put away 😉

so GREAT that LIVERPOOL got 3 points but.. dont, and i have said it a hundred times, when you are on top, dont "defend the lead"  its not how this team plays - better go and bury the opposition , we dont look so nice back-peddling, spurs were out of the game - dont let them back into it..

and JK, PLEASE, give players like Shaq. & Studge a half an hour .. not 10 minutes.. and even if you had to send Hendo back to the bench , make sure subs are used "perfectly"
