 Supporters will , as much as the REdS Team, have to make this, the most important game of the season, match by match, one game at a time, ... 
 
Thanks Rafa,  whose ("geordies") team beat maciteh FRAUD klub 2-1 last night, LIVERPOOL now have to show worthy champions style and GO for it tonight...

leicester CAN cause top teams problems, but watching their defence at wolves, for me, means if the REdS attack is sharp enough goals will be scored against an exposed away side,,, 

with injuries causing some problem (and yes, again, i feel it was mad to let Clyne go this mid-season) 

.. I would play 3 at the back , Put Gini (if fit) back in the middle .. and go with 

                                     AB ; 

                            Fab, VVD & Dejan , 

but FAB joining the midfield when Lfc have the ball ; 
(although if Fab is not 100% Hendo should slot in the holding position)

                       Camacho & Robbo wing backs , 

                        Gini & Shaq linking ; 

                      "the Firm", Mane & Mo..

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 32 home matches and it is difficult to see that good run coming to an end here.

The Reds, though, have had a bit of an injury crisis in recent weeks and they are sweating on the fitness of star man and rock at the back Virgil van Dijk, who has been ill. With or without him, Liverpool should be able  to grind out a hard-earned win over a Leicester side who caused them trouble at the King Power in the reverse fixture, no thanks to a rare error from Alisson.

The Foxes have lost four of their last five in all competitions, with the pressure piling on Claude Puel. Their defeats have been by small margins though and Liverpool have also had a lot of wins by fine margins this term , leicester  have had some close battles with the Reds in recent years, losing by one goal in their last three encounters

January 19 - through to 29th and prior to the home game v Leicester on the 30th Jan, the first team squad will be away for a much earned pause, 

to recover from a heavy programme that  took its tole on some players and train for the :run in: to hopefully; a league Title in may .. #19 in year '19?

Positives..

The League table position...

 The Team has matured since last season, and despite errors which would have lost points, managed to come through several games with the points, (home v everton, away at brighton, and saturday v palace..for example ) 

Players;

, Gini is even a bigger surprise than Shaq ...Wijnaldum becoming almost an automatic selection to be the central cog in the midfield,  ability to keep possession , maintain a high percentage of pass accuracy and contribute to pressing opponents, Gini seems to have gone up a level in the past 12 months...  Shaq has proven a worthy addition to the attack supporting the usual "Firm" Mane & Mo up front..

AB & VVD are NOT supermen, they make mistakes of course, however their overall ability inspires those around them, and in defence, thats vital, to build a Champion Team, which we have been saying since well before Juergens arrival at Lfc, ignored by many fans until recently...  : "full throttle" ?  ..yeah , sometimes...

Robbo, well, he that much energy and spirit, i swear I saw him past to himself during one game,  and who could forget the way he chased down the whole of the "champions" defence last season?  he takes it as a personal insult if he loses the ball..

Joe..before the injury... and Fab, although I wont go overboard un til i see him "boss" a big game,  

Juergen, is getting "cuter" in his understanding of opponents, and in - game management, generally imporoved... (IMO, it was needed! )

Firm... seems to be getting back to his better form...not only in his link up play but scoring again.. 

Mo, as I write equalled Torres record of 50 league goals in 72 games... ALMOST as sharp as he was last season ..

Most of the key players have signed long term contracts (* lets hope Lfc and the players honour their word & signature)

NOT....

Mo needs to be careful, as he is being tagged with a "diver" label, ironic, considering he was recently congratulated for NOT going down at (bournemouth?)  ... also needs to pass when Firm or Sadio are in a clearer position, its often a split second decision.. but the "Firm" (fab 3) looked more "in tune" last season,, but... 

NK seems to be struggling with wearing the famous Number 8 shirt and carrying the expectations of his massive global fan following ...and this also SHOULD remind some fans that moving from a german or french league into preniere league pressure, is not as easy as it seems ..

Losing Joe, at a time when it looked like no one could score against Lfc, was tough , especially for Gomez, who already had to come back from a long injury lay off...  

Trent, and for me, Sadio are inconsistent, they do not often have bad games, but both have great talent that requires FULL focus, concentration and APPLICATION, Mane especially seems to float in and out of games, is SO dangerous when in top form, we need to see more of that in the "run in"..

 I still think releasing Clyne was wrong,  I would have played him on the right at Citeh and yesterday,  look at the 5 goals conceded in those 2 games , and how many came from attacks on the Lfc right flank...!

Hendo has been criticised, and that brings me to the fans ... top of the table club, and still too many times are "quiet"  on saturday when struggling for a goal , or behind, SUPPORTERS shoudl raise the atmosphere, we did ... why dont you?

there aren't many negatives, except to remind YOU, Lfc fans, that the boardroom is still :shark infested:  they ("USAcorp") only spent money that was accumulated AFTER taking over the biz.... from TV, matchday revenue, shops/&online, advance tourist, & corporate ticket sales, and most importantly more than half a BILLION GBP, in selling top Players & youth.. (the "money bolloz policies of f...s  g )

Whilst I understood the need to build carefully, I feel our suggestion of playing NK and Shaq  would have pushed the cockney team back from the start... 

if Lfc lose points now, it may be from NOT daring enough..champions are winners who risk all..

with Hendo, Matip Fab and VVD policing almost NO palace strikers , its a WASTE of man-power!
at Anfield , .. who dares..wins..

to lose 3 goals to an average side is unacceptable, who only had about 3 shots on target..

...BUT sure will take the three points that keep us clear of the "manciteh FRAUD klb

the london side got a goal with their only shot on goal in the first half, and Fab was late to challenge the scorer, Milly got caught but surely the whole defence should cover the 1 attack..

should have been better prepared for Zaha ... and ... MO has to keep on his feet , because Refs wont give Lfc anything other than blatant pens,... keep on your feet and score, 2 goals will be recorded..

VVD was at fault for the 2nd goal , he should always dominate from corners, was static for their 2nd..

NK didnt show up, Jk has to light a fire under the new boy, who has not transferred his form from the german league to REdS games, i am not sure he will get a better chance than this, crying out for someone to take players on, mind you i feel Sadio Mane also fails to realise his potential and great talent  in many games , is he over shadowed by Mo & co?

Matip ok, but ... no one really shone tonight, although the team fought through to get 3 points and that is what counts... 

the Squad now has a mini-pause and time , hopefully to re-charge and come out for the final challenge for the title ...take one game at a time and show you are worthy, because WE are LIVERPOOL...we are THE CLUB!

Shanks teams always played the same from 1st to 90+ mins, and scored a lot of late goals, this team needs to keep their focus and GO again v leicester on the 30th ..

but .NO comparison with the Team that would blow everyone away 78/79 and the basis that won 4 European Champions trophies between 77-84 

AND the league almost every season during the Post Shanks Dynasty that HE made possible.. 

and his Spirit was in Emlyn, a captain who truly led the TEAM ....and Bob who carried Shanks forward
