REdNET update ; 96 minutes; in heaven for origi revenge adios blues ..hello burnley another awayday,,,

CRS Edited from media SpL ...

Origi's revenge,

The succulent irony of a 96th minute winner scored by Div. Origi ..who had been crocked by a nasty tackle and badly injured in a previous Merseyside derby in April 2016  from the blues Ramiro Funes Mori.

striker Div Origi scored his first goal for the Reds since May 2017 as he made a rare appearance for the Liverpool side as a late second half substitute.
Div was the victim who got his revenge
Origi almost made an instant impact as he hit the woodwork from close range, but it looked like Marco Silva's Everton would grab a deserved point after an accomplished display at Anfield saw them have several clear cut chances themselves.
However, in the sixth minute of injury time, Virgil van Dijk's skied volley dropped seemingly harmlessly towards Pickford's crossbar, but he failed to deal with it and Origi was on hand to nod in from close range to send the Kop wild.
JK could not contain himself as he ran onto the pitch after the winner - perhaps reflecting his relief after a tough week and three points that keeps Liverpool just two behind league leaders manCiteh.
ChRiS ...  Silva cant complain, "liucky Liverpool , blah blah,  his side were disrupting the game (as they did at chelski recently where they got a 0-0 ) .. towards the end, and their GK Pickford, would normallly just have tipped that "miskick" by  VVD over the bar...  but probably didnt want to risk a corner against them, so fumbled , the ball coming back for Div to nod home and send all REdS wild, especially us in the pub having to put up with sneers from opposing fans .. :P

ChRIS> almost instant post match reaction ... LIVERPOOL won , everton didnt ...apart from ball possesion in the REds favour a fairly even first half, with AB & Joe rescuing a goalline chance for the away side.. half chances and anyone of the Fab 3 might have scored a half chance (especially Mane ) ... but the resurgent blues had made it into a derby ... for the first time in perhaps 20 games..

and I dont want to see Juergen "raise the crowd" if you have a ticket to the game and you cant get behind team & off your ar&e for this game you should fecking stay at home... (in your arnchair like so many other experts & fan nies cloned by tv & fsg ...

significant aspects dont really come to mind except I arrogantly claim that NK shoudl have started instead of Shaq, too much hype loaded on him..

still a case of final ball/shot/pass with the wrong decisions...however for all their industry the blues didnt seem much of a threat ... and poetic justice...once again( my biggest criticism of the Lfc coach is leaving subs too late , NK for me was a better choice than Shaq Mo & firm looked tired and correctly this time , subbed with Studge and ...

Origi...
what poetic justice as the blues feigned injury , disrupted and wasted time , not only did the sub Origi (whose career was damaged by a foul from an everton player in a previous derby., but he hit the bar, and that to a pickford feckup was able to bury the blues with a nod into the net, on 96 Minutes ,,,

ha fecking ha ha ha ha ha ha...
no apologies for rubbing the blues noses in it..
ChRiS

Big chances for both sides

Everton centre-back Yerry Mina should have done better with a free header from a free-kick early on, and both sides went on to waste great chances as Sadio Mane blazed over for Liverpool and Roberto Firmino dragged his strike wide.
Alisson Becker then produced a stunning save from close range to deny Andre Gomes' header, with Joe Gomez on hand with a last-ditch tackle to stop the ball from creeping over line.
Xherdan Shaqiri hit a golden chance straight at Pickford, while Theo Walcott was also denied by some good goalkeeping as Alisson got enough on the ball to send him too wide to shoot.
Mohamed Salah sent a curler just wide in the second half and Mane sliced wide when put through on goal by Firmino - who then wasted a great chance on the break when lacking the pace to go beyond the last man.
Origi missed a glorious chance to break the deadlock in the 88th minute from just three yards when a knockdown fell in his path, only for his effort to rattle the crossbar.
Div still had one more chance however, as Pickford - who tried to tip the ball over - inadvertently kept the ball in play via a bounce off the crossbar for Origi to make amends for his earlier miss and nod home in the sixth minute of time added on for a dramatic winner.

Klopp said afterwards: "Immediately after the game I apologised to Marco Silva when we spoke to each other.
"I told him how much I respect his work, because it's incredible what he did with that team. They are just an outstanding side.
"Derbies are always difficult but this was a completely different difficult to the last few years.
"What can I say about it? I didn't want to run. It was not my plan. I didn't want to run to Ali - I couldn't stop, obviously. Not cool, but it happened.
"The more important things happened during the 95 minutes. Again, all my respect for Everton, really good. Both teams delivered a proper fight, a proper derby from the first second."
Silva said: "He didn't apologise to me. All of your colleagues have asked me about the situation but to be honest with you I didn't see it. I don't know what he did and the way he did it.
"It was a lucky day for him this afternoon but that is football. I cannot say it was disrespectful because I didn't see, maybe when I see that moment I can speak more about that situation."
The goal came when Pickford attempted to tip a sliced effort from Virgil Van Dijk over, only to send the ball bouncing against the bar and towards Origi.
Silva said when asked about the England goalkeeper, who had done well to deny Xherdan Shaqiri in the first half: "What I told him will stay between us.
"What I can tell you, like we started the match all together, like we have been working since the first day all together, we finish the match all together.
"He did really well until that moment and it is something no-one expected. It is easy to understand how the stadium celebrated the goal in the last minute."
He added: "I know the main thing in football is always the result but I can tell you I am proud of our players.
"I think it is clear for everyone we didn't deserve and it was a lucky, lucky, lucky day for Liverpool."
Klopp, who admitted the goal was "a bit lucky", expressed his delight for Origi.
The forward sustained a nasty ankle injury in a Merseyside derby in April 2016 via a tackle from Ramiro Funes Mori.
Klopp said of the Belgian, who on Sunday was making only his second Liverpool appearance since being on loan at Wolfsburg last season: "I said it to him when I sent him on the pitch, actually. I had it in my mind. I've never forgot it since.
"Fouls and harsh tackles happen, but in his case it was so obvious that it was a break in his development.
"At that time he was outstanding. After that, it took a long time before he felt absolutely nothing.
"It all changed a little bit (for him), you lose confidence and you don't play from here (touching his stomach) any more.
"So it was always in my mind when I thought about Div, that night (against Everton). And now he can finish that book and from now on everything will be fine again."
CRS> "Origii| karma revenge " for that tackle that put him out of the game for months by evertons Mori.. in previous derby!

ANYWAY..

to the game on Saturday

Knee jerked report etc @ http://unsubtolosi-rednet.blogspot.com/2018/09/will-reds-beat-rent-blues-twice.html
(and scroll down for "the 5 year plan" if you can take it!_and links to fb groups etc)

"hate" is a strong word when its a game of footy, BUT..the only time i could "stomach" the chelski rent blues was that brief phase of Rafa .. and only because of him, my favourite footy managee of the last 20 years or so..

JUERGEN...

My generation were fed war stories ; my parents barely survived WW2, my ma told me she could watch nazi/german bombers unload their destructive force on London, where my dad was based .. no phone calls allowed, so it was always a relief when he came home on brief visits "on leave"  .. so a bit of bias may be here, too..

I became a "freelance" strategic manager at a relatively young age, after managing a success in european Logistics & shipping and that would have been no surprise if anyone knew me as a teen, reading books on warfare, tactics & strategy , (apparently so did Rafa, in his youth and with games) ...

I achieved my career goals before I was 30 years old, a "wizz kid" ha ha .. self supporting and independent, I was also captain of my local team , the youngest ..too..  that was more emotional, I loved the spirit, the bonding  with team mates - but also reflecting on games, after when we sat down in the cafe for a post-match cuppa, (alchohol was more part of my career / PR life...ha ha ) ..

all of this blah blah blah, is so that , if you havent already fallen asleep, you "get" that I am INTO strategy & tactics, and professionally , in a big way, and IMO it applies ; whether, in battle , in football, in business & as I explained when with students ; in LIFE.. when & how to make changes make a huge difference..

a bit of REd bonding...

REPEATS

I often watch games a day or 2 after, again, with no moderation, sound off, and I find it easier to focus, during the game my adrenalin is high, and emotional reaction to incidents & play much more obvious (i still play the game, at least once a week, apart from training..kids..)

This is how I see it..

JK has a "method"  .. when it works ; it blows away other teams..

however, like many of the generals I studied as a boy (quiet in my room) .. the reaction to problems may make the difference between "also ran" and "winners"  .  .....

I am NOT saying JK is unable to be the very best, he may well become one of the best... I LIKE the man, (his politics are sympathetic and I like that he is honest about his leftish views - considering , ESPECIALLY that he works for the RIGHT wing SHARKS of what I call "US Acor p " (seperated due to net ban liability) ...

I lived for around 10 years in the same region that Juergen grew up in (Baden-W...) .. I can speak perfect german, and without knowing him personally, can understand him to an EXTENT (only)

He has found himself in a perfect situation, he didnt have to sell himself , f   s    g wanted him because he claimed to make a top team ON A BUDGET.. so the " f   s    g  OUT brigade"  should bear this in mind, when they push for a change in the group that control what WAS OUR CLUB!  ... !!!

... those in boardroom ARE to blame for 13 years since a MAJOR league or european trophy came to Anfield's cabinet..

and JK is also to blame that WE have had to wait for the income (half a billion ) from top player & others sold, AND income from sponsors, TV and YOU ...accumulated so that H-W gave Juergen the green light to spend ..

YET, it was REMARKABLE that Lfc were in Kiev with a GK of insufficient status and a bench that could not compensate for "an assasin's attack "on Mo..  (and YES I will again MOAN that there is NO WAY Phil should have been allowed to leave before the end of season 17/18 , no matter what anyone claims...(or cries!  )

CHELSKI away - saturday evening 29 sept. 2018

DEFENCE

(references are relevant to the 1-2 league cup exit on 26th sept Anfield...)

Mignolet had  an average game for him, could he , or should he have saved the 2 goals? ..... I suggest this is the major difference between him (*and Karius) and AB.. i EXPECT AB to save any shot that is "save-able" !  ... we at REdnet more or less correctly predicted JK's selection - I dont usually do that, I prefer to PROPOSE a line up that I like, but, this game was obviously going to include fringe/squad players who are not automatic in the "first 11" ..

IMO, and , yes I will repeat it ; I would NOT change the core defensive unit (GK & CBs) unless due to poor form or injury...

IMO JK is "too nice" to Simon &... especially seems to have a blind spot about moreNO... even the average Lfc fan can see that Alberto is a rash and unreliable defender, and certainly the opponents do, they pushed ex-Lfc Moses into that area whenever possible.. on reflection a youngster may have been a better "replacement" for the SUPERB Robbo...

Clyne did better , but, his tendence to delay a ball into their danger area, significant late on at 1-2 IMO he should have passed first time a ball instead of taking a touch, top defenders only need that few seconds to prepare themselves and the chance MAY be lost.. Trent is better , much better, attacking and his defensive game is always improving.. so Nath is going to be "2nd choice" ...for the foreseeable..

Matip & Dejan were 'OK" for most of the game BUT the combo of VVD and Joe just seems that much more... so they get their places back at the weekend.. for me.. no question.  .. but the 2 CB "reserves " are not bad ..  makes the squad strong,..

Fab is not yet geared up to the level required yet.. he got booked , and considering how bad referee "Fruend" was, could have got more than one yellow, and out... IMO as the player , he is bigger than Hendo or Milly, big enough ,.. he should have been attacking the ball for the first header (barkley?) for the first chelski goal... and surely having been at the club a while, should have sniffed the danger of Hazard v moreNO... and tackled the little blue diving yet talented Git before he made it into the box with a Mo-like dribble..

MIDFIELD

NOTE,  everyone talked about Hazard coming on at 53 minutes!  .. JK didnt play HIS "ace card: until 5 minutes before the end.. but for me , the bigger :swing:  came when KANTE got into the game, he was everywhere, maybe so much that Milly would have appreciated the effort?..

, Take note for saturday lads!!!

NK was better than last time he played, just looks like he isnt quite "there" yet... I would play him saturday and tell him to paly as itf its a home game..

Milly was stifled by an early yellow.. Hendo more or less gave the REdS a similar input, like for like, when he came on..

Fab was mostly too deep to impact the creative aspects..

ATTACK

Shaq was buzzing, and IMO should have won a pen , even if the defenders hand only slightly pulled him down its a pen VAR anyone? ..

Mane, in and out of the game , I feel really missed his mates , "the Firm" and Mo the merrier, .. they know each others ways so well!

Studge , hit the bar , and IMO . a little sharper could have had 3 .. but put in a shift, caused problems, scored an excellent acrobatic volley after NK had troubled theur GK with a decent effort, but... although he is a positive addition to the attacking strength...... Daniel hasnt played 90 minutes since...?

so , for me, on 60 minutes , around the time he changed Milly with Hendo...why not play all your ACES , Juergen?  ... add Firm & MO - fab 3 = 4 because of the synergy and fear they cause in defenders,

so there you go... my PROPOSED starting 11 ..for the away game at the rent-blues bridge;

AB,
Trent, Joe, VVD, Robbo,
Milly, Gini , NK
Mane, "the Firm" & Mo....

Fab, Studge & Shaq on the bench, probably , I would give them all 20-30 minutes.. but thats me....!

They are the worst combination ; Chelski the first footy rent boys - the southen version of manure .. and their "dr evil"  caused young (& older) idiots to sell their soul for money ..  and the trend of "buying success"  caught popular uneducated opinion.. and media slavery .. stupidity now rules footy- worldwide!

First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win. ;)

i know many Lfc fans will be told to be quiet - to follow the propaganda that comes through the media and of course no one wants to have trouble when the team is winning.. but the reason that Lfc have NOT won a major trophy since 2005 is due to the boardroom policies (we call it "USA corp")

they sold our best players, and waited to accumulate money from sponsors & global base of over 30 million loyal fans

we , the global REdS will change all of that - so that instead of you funding  their profit - supporters will share in all the future club will do... take time and watch the videos carefully.. very carefully ..

 Liverpool 1 Chelski/ref/var 2 ?

did they take it more seriously ? it looked that way in the first half, but , on reflection changing more than half the team and then expecting everything just to roll on, was a bit of wishful thinking .. however, although the rent-blues had the better of the first half , I felt Lfc took the game in the 2nd period and , once again (and how many times do we say this about the team?) had enough chances to win the game last night....!

Shaq was buzzing, the Studge of '14 probably would have had a hat-trick, but anyway scored with an excellent acrobatic effort ... and IMO the ref ignored THREE possible pens for Lfc, and then it looked to me when VAR was used that the chelski forwards were offside? - Mo was offside last game v soton, but not the blues? - i would like to see the game again to be sure about that..

In game management - again?

for me ... 60 mins is when changes shoudl be made - by that time the coaching staff should know which way the game is going, I would have played the "big guns" Firm AND Mo for Shaq & Studge so that the "fab 3" could finish off the job?? Hendo for Milly was right although debut boy Fab still hasn't impressed me... Clyne & moreNO wont threaten the places of Trent & Robbo, Joe & VVD will IMO, replace Matip/Dejan ...

hazard-ous consequences...

it happened before v chelski , if you dont finish them off , they have players who will ...
Mignolet did well, but its clear that the following should start in London saturday ;
AB,
Trent, Joe, VVD, Robbo,
Milly, Gini , NK
Mane, Firm & Mo...
and I expect the REdS to take 3 league points back to Liverpool saturday night ...

Former Liverpool player Pepe Reina has been crowned the greatest goalkeeper in Premier League history, in terms of clean sheet percentage per game.
Games 285
Clean Sheets 134
47.02%
Chris > one of the biggest transfer errors of the f sg era ,,*error) .. i am convince we would have won trophies with Pepe in the last 5 seasons, organiser, pen saver, great distributor , sweeper, exactly the sort of GK Juergen likes (AB!)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++i80924

for me its always a mistake to compare teams of different eras, and situations, BUT, back then Rafa had to cope with a boardroom politics that wanted him to make a champion team without spending anything.. now we still have sharks in the Lfc boardroom but JK has had the money in the last year or so to build a team,  for me Rafa's REdS of 2009 were as good as any now, we were the best in europe then, Lfc are one of the best in europe now, the '09 team had "the best midfield in the world" .. it wasnt just those 4 .. Dirk was as energetic as Milly - 2 of 3 CBs Agger/Sami/Carra  were as good as any in the last 20 years,  Pepe is still the best GK Lfc had in premiere league (recently confirmed that his record is better than anyones in EPL)  Finnan and JAR .. the current team is close to champions, but hasnt won a major tropjhy..  yet, if they do ... then they will deserve all the praise...!

no, its (current team mentality)  IS good but no it hasn't a better mentality - it has a different style .. , JK is just more of a media man than Rafa - however Rafa manged the games better when things need changing.. and the ball travels faster than a player can run,, :) Stevie or Xabi could put the ball at a forwards feet regularly from 50 metres plus!
